Dry Pav Bhaji for the next Picnic or Party | Indian Street Food | How To Make Pav Bhaji At Home

Ingredients:


  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 2 medium tomatoes

  • 1 green bell pepper

  • 250g boiled & mashed potatoes

  • 1 cup boiled & mashed green peas

  • Salt to taste


For assemble:


  • Lemon wedges

  • Chopped onions

  • Chopped coriander

  • Ladi pav to serve


Method:


  1. Warm the oil in a pan, add turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala and Kashmiri chilli powder.  

  2. Fry the spices in the oil over low heat, now add ginger-garlic paste and sauté.  

  3. Add the tomatoes and sauté, add salt, stir and cook until the tomatoes are just soft.  

  4. Now add green bell pepper and sauté.  

  5. Then add mashed potatoes and mashed green peas, mix well and adjust the seasoning.  

  6. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.  

  7. Slice the pav bun, spread 2 to 3 tablespoons of bhaji, and sprinkle with red onion and coriander.  

  8. Squeeze some lemon juice over, and serve.
